Objectives | The project objectives are to: * design a greener fleet certification scheme for company car fleets, with the main objective of achieving improved fuel efficiency and reduced mileage; * provide an appropriate guidance manual to support the scheme; * set out an adminstrative structure for the scheme and advise on estimated annual running costs; * advise on appropriate registration fees for participants; and * advise on the overall cost-effectiveness and anticipated environmental benefits oft he scheme, and how to target the scheme in order to achieve the maximum environmental benefits. | |
Abstract | The purpose of this project was to produce a 'Greener Fleet Certification Scheme' for company car fleets with the objective of achieving improved fuel efficiency and reduced business mileage. The project included production of full documentation for the scheme, including forms for completion by applicants, instructions and a guidance manual. It also recommended a model administrative structure for the scheme, and advised on scheme costs and registration fees. | |
